    1. Railroad Park

Always busting and spotted with picnic-goers and frisbee-throwers, this park offers a great view and plenty of people-watching. Soak up some sun, go for a walk, or sit below the pavilion in the heart of Birmingham. Urban Standard and Revelator Coffee Company are both great coffee shops within reach.

    2. Five Points South

With plenty of eclectic shops and restaurants to wander by, Five Points is a nice place to take a midday break. You won’t be short of entertainment here! This area is a typical gathering spot for activists, artists, and people of all walks of life, and there is always something interesting happening in Five Points. Stop by the Starbucks on 11th to get your #PSL fix!

    3. Homewood Park

This little park a couple blocks from SoHo is a great place to relax. Bring the kids and the dogs to play, or wander solo on the walking path. Octane is your coffee destination here, just a couple blocks down from the park.

    4. Avondale Park

Avondale Park is a once hidden gem, now alive with fun events and burgeoning businesses. Grab a cuppa at Saturn, and post up by the pond or walk through the various walking paths! Grab a book to cosy up with at the Avondale Library if that’s your style.

    7. Botanical Gardens

There are tons of awesome relaxing spots in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Our personal favorite is the Japanese garden, but you can’t go wrong! This is one place you’ll be happy to get lost in. We recommend stopping by Church Street Coffee & Books on your way!
